The Dam Wall Cup Xmas Special competion was fished in horrible conditions yesterday - wet, windy and very coloured water.
Hats off to those who braved the conditions.
The winner with 5 fish weighing 10lbs 14oz was G. Telford.
Second place went to P. Howarth with 3 fish for 6lbs 7oz..
I. McDougall was third with 2 fish for 5lbs 10oz.
Congrats to the prizewinners!
21st December
Well guys, the Dam Wall Cup Xmas Special competion is definitely ON for tomorrow (Sat 22nd).
The weather forecast is for a day much like today (mild, wet and breezy at times), so bring your waterproofs!
Its a 9.00 AM kick off, so we shall see you all then tomorrow........
16th December
With the milder weather over the weekend, the loch has thawed out, and almost all the ice has gone. According to the weather forecasts, the milder weather should continue for a little longer, and the loch should then remain free of ice. This augurs well for the competition on saturday and hopefully we shall be able to wet a line then.

5th December
At this time, the loch is frozen over and it looks unlikely that we will be able to hold the Dam Wall Cup Xmas Special competion on the 22nd December, as advertised, and an alternative date may have to be found in the new year.
However, if the weather improves slightly, and the loch becomes free from ice, the competition will go ahead on schedule.
