Directions

From Edinburgh:

Exit M9 at junction 4 and take the A803 heading for Polmont turn right at Kirk Entry (top of the hill past the car wash), head down the hill on to Bo'ness Road. The lane to the fishery is on the right just after the motorway flyover.

From Glasgow / Stirling:

Exit M9 at junction 5 turn right on to the A905 at the roundabout take first left A905 and at the second roundabout turn right A905 (heading towards the Inchyra Grange Hotel) still on the A905. After 150m turn right on to Grange Road and head up the hill at the top take the right fork towards Polmont. Immediately before the motorway flyover turn left down lane.

From the lane entry:

Please observe the speed limit (15 mph) as this is a popular walking area with local residents and horse riders.

Follow the lane alongside the motorway where it turns left then right then follow the lane along with the burn on the left for about 600m to cross the bridge over the burn and the fishery is situated to the left of the dam wall.

The reservoir is accessed via Polmont woods and anyone who has not visited us before should enter our postcode into their sat nav FK2 0QS (Kirk Entry, Bo'ness Road, Polmont), which takes you to the fishery entrance, whereby you follow the road through the woods for just a minute or two, until you arrive at the fishery car park.
